Disease In The House?

Can disease be lurking in your house, without your knowledge? Yes. It may be found as mold lurking most anywhere, from the bathroom to the basement, to the carpeting in your bedroom. Mold is another word for fungus.

Since household mold was addressed in a previous post, this posting is on your personal mold. Yes, you may be harboring mold in your body, and it's all too common; you may not even guess it is there. You know it's there is you have a health issue such as diabetes. And there are scores more health problems where mold, or at least, the milder form, candida, is at the root of the problem.

One of the best, and perhaps the easiest and non-invasive methods of addressing this issue is to start consuming herbs or teas, or therapeutic quality essential oils that are known to help the body better attack fungus issues. There are actually quite a few of these, and if you do have a fungal issue in the body(mold is termed as a fungal issue when it's inside the body, and generally as a mold issue when it's outside the body), it would be wise to consume teas or oils at least twice daily, or use the oils topically twice or more daily.

Using aromatherapy internally is not generally recommended if you have no idea what you are doing, since you may experience certain discomforts doing this, or, depending on what brand of oils you are using, they may be chemicals, which will do you potentially, much more harm than good.

Just a few of the common essential oils known to be anti-fungal include:

1. Oregano oil(this one is hot, better to use on the bottom of the feet rather than internally, unless you buy it is an enteric coated capsule)
2. Cinnamon Bark oil. The bark is different than the leaf, and the leaf is considerably less money. The bark is more potent on mold.
3. Clove oil. The first two oils listed are hotter than this one. You can take this one as a therapeutic quality internally, but when starting out, never take more than 3 drops of any of these, as the detox may cause you to feel very sick.
4. Geranium oil. This one has the added benefit of helping detox the liver.
5. Thyme oil. Not as hot as the first 3 oils, but slightly warm. A moderately potent anti-fungal.
6. Pine oil. This one is an all around first aid type oil, as well as being anti-fungal.
7. Frankincense oil. This one as a therapeutic oil is fairly expensive in comparison to the rest, just to let you know.
8. Lemongrass oil. This is a powerful anti-fungal and digestive aid. Getting this oil on your hands will stain you yellow for several hours.

There are more oils than these that are anti-fungal, but I'm attempting to keep this post shorter rather than longer.

Some herbs/foods that are anti-fungal include:
1. Licorice
2. Olive leaf
3. Pau d'Arco
4. Turmeric
5. Black Walnut Hulls
6. Chapparal
7. Garlic
8. Chamomile
9. Goldenrod

Read this article for more on mold/fungus and it's removal.

Frostbite Anyone?

Frostbite can affect most anyone. It is a painful, potentially devastating condition which most people that find themselves with it, did not anticipate frostbite ever happening to them. So what to do if you find you have frostbite?

First of all, this is one time I would suggest going to a medical doctor for advice. What I would do, because I know through research, direct application, and intuition; that I would use specific therapeutic quality essential oils. Why oils? Because they have healing capacities that go far beyond almost everything else, and always far beyond what drugs can do. Using warm water is a great place to start. Never use hot water for frostbite!!

Here are a few essential oils I would use:

** Cypress oil. This oil is known to help circulation. It has been used for centuries for a variety of uses.

** Cinnamon oil(bark is preferred). This oil also helps circulation. However, this is a hot oil to the skin, and dilution should be utilized. Dilute with an oil like Olive, Sesame, or Sunflower. Cinnamon oil will also aid in warming the skin and surrounding tissues.

** Clove oil. This oil is the most powerful anti-oxidant known. It acts as a hemostat, meaning it balances the blood. It also acts as a numbing agent, to help subdue some of the pain associated with frostbite. A carrier oil should be used with this for frostbite.

** Juniper oil. This oil is known to help regenerate nerves. Because frostbite affects adversely, the nerves in the body, this can be very beneficial.

** Geranium oil. This is very similar in function to Juniper for the nerves. A bit stronger of a smell, the deeper and longer lasting smell is known as a "base" scent.

** Lemon oil. This oil is very helpful in increasing micro-circulation, and would be a wise choice in treating frostbite conditions. However, as will all aromatherapies, when treating a condition such as frostbite, it is wise to use a carrier oil.

A carrier oil has multiple benefits. For one, it softens the heat from the warmer oils, such as Clove, Cinnamon and Oregano. It also helps to slow the evaporative rate when aromatherapy is applied topically. A carrier allows you to use less of an essential oil and spread the oil over a wider area. The benefit from using aromatherapy is still there.

Do Flu Shots Actually Work????

We are encouraged, told, demanded of, to get a flu shot each year. And yet....is there any scientific proof these work? Or perhaps better worded, is there any proof they do more good than harm?

I have never had a flu shot, but I did grow up getting sick alot. Not with flu's all that much, most of it was sinus issues, such as colds. I have not had a flu in many years, because now I know full well how to avoid them.

So with the question of "Do Flu Shots Work"? we should look at a compilation of these studies on children first.

In a review of more than 51 studies involving more than 294,000 children it was found there was “no evidence that injecting children 6-24 months of age with a flu shot was any more effective than placebo. In children over 2 yrs, it was only effective 33% of the time in preventing the flu.
~Reference: Vaccines for preventing influenza in healthy children." The Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews. 2 (2008)

Not in children with asthma: in a study of 800 children with asthma, one half were vaccinated and the other half did not receive the influenza vaccine. The two groups were compared with respect to clinic visits, emergency department (ED) visits, and hospitalizations for asthma. CONCLUSION: This study failed to provide evidence that the influenza vaccine prevents pediatric asthma exacerbations.
~Reference: “Effectiveness of influenza vaccine for the prevention of asthma exacerbations.” Christly, C. et al. Arch Dis Child. 2004 Aug;89(8):734-5.

Not in children with asthma (2): “The inactivated flu vaccine, Flumist, does not prevent influenza-related hospitalizations in children, especially the ones with asthma…In fact, children who get the flu vaccine are more at risk for hospitalization than children who do not get
the vaccine.”

~Reference: The American Thoracic Society’s 105th International Conference, May 15-20, 2009, San Diego

Not in adults: In a review of 48 reports including more than 66,000 adults, “Vaccination of healthy adults only reduced risk of influenza by 6% and reduced the number of missed work days by less than one day (0.16) days. It did not change the number of people needing to go to hospital or take time off work.”
~Reference: “Vaccines for preventing influenza in healthy adults." The Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews. 1(2006).

Not in the Elderly: In a review of 64 studies in 98 flu seasons, for elderly people living in nursing homes, flu shots were non-significant for preventing the flu. For the elderly living in the community, vaccines were not (significantly) effective against influenza, ILI or pneumonia.
~Reference: “Vaccines for preventing influenza in the elderly.” The Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews. 3(2006).

So what should a person do? If we cannot rely on the medical system's expertise(?) on keeping us healthy, how do we actually avoid issues like the flu?

These are a few of the methods I use, which work extra-ordinarily well.

1. Get plenty of Vitamin D, without overdosing when taking it as a supplement. Vitamin D is known to prevent the flu. The best source is direct sun, between the hours of 10am-2pm. Notice in the summer time, the only ones who may get the flu are those who do not go outside enough to matter. So far no one apparently has been able to overdose on Vitamin D made from exposure to the sun, and yet, it is possible to overdose on supplementation. Regular testing of Vitamin D in the blood is important.

2. Eat raw natural foods, preferably organic. Why organic? Because organically grown produce should be(this will not always be true) free of genetically modified organisms that Monsanto puts into our food supply without our knowledge or consent. There has been zero safety testing done on genetically modified foods, in any country, that I can find. Organically grown also should be free of pesticides and herbicides; VERY dangerous chemicals that are absorbed into your foods, which in turn, are put into the body, where they tend to remain. Ever wonder how a person becomes toxic? Besides, according to several university studies, organically grown foods have far more nutrients than commercially grown. Or perhaps better said, would be: Organically grown actually has nutrients.

Raw foods have live enzymes, critical to your health. Raw foods will give you more energy, increase your metabolic rate and help you attain the proper weight if desired, allow you to have better attitudes/dreams patterns/skin color and tone/clearer vision/much less candida and fungal issues.

3. Utilize therapeutic quality aromatherapy. Certain essential oils are known by the medical societies of most countries to be extremely valuable, such as Lemon oil, which is known to not only alkalinize the blood, but also increase the white blood cell count to help fight off illness. Lemon oil has different components than Lemon Juice. Either one also has remarkable grease removing properties. Cinnamon Bark oil is a powerful immune stimulant as well, plus it is a circulatory stimulant. This is all completely verifiable if you choose to look it up. Being an Aromatologist, with over 13 years in this field, I have a fairly good understanding of how very valuable the tool of aromatherapy actually is. Pharmaceutical drugs cannot compare to the positive power of therapeutic quality aromatherapies.

4. Avoid dairy when possible, especially pasteurized dairy. It is not good for you, no matter what any dairy industry or government tells you. In my terminology, dairy does NOT include goat milk.

5. Keep a positive attitude. This is far more effective than you might be able to imagine, not only for mental health, but for physical health as well. The more negative ones thoughts, the more likely one is to develop any health issue such as colds and flu.

6. Do meditation. If you don't know how, or what it is, or have scoffed at it in the past, you might give it a shot. Is it going to hurt you? Of course not. What it will do for you, provided you give it the opportunity, is allow you to clear your mind, balance the energies of the body, present insights to you that you may have never thought possible, and in many cases, completely reverse so-called
"irreversible" diseases. If you have doubts about meditation, key into Google:
The Maharishi Effect. This will show you the power of group meditation. Just your own can meditation can do similar.

What Can You Do With Cinnamon?

Cinnamon is an herb with a recorded history nearly as old as recorded history goes. The essential oil of Cinnamon Bark was regarded to be in value higher than gold, during the time of Christ.

Cinnamon is a powerful anti-viral, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal agent, a wonderful spice, smells great, enhances circulation in the body, is thought to create a magnetic field of abundance.

Cinnamon Bark essential oil is part of the 4 oils used by the "thieves" during the 14th century plague of England, to protect themselves from the plague while they looted the dead and dying. These robbers simply used the four oils by applying them topically on their skin.

These thieves were all apothecaries; they knew which oils to use to protect them from plagues. This information, if you are so inclined to search for it, is in the English Archives in London. Or at least was, 5 years ago. Hopefully the drug cartel has not messed with this information and had it erased from these archives.

The essential oil blend of "Thieves" is available in therapeutic grade at this site, as is Cinnamon Bark oil.

I consider the essential oil blend of "Thieves" to be very helpful with health and healing, particularly with cancers, colds and flu. Simply putting a drop on two in the palm of the hands, rubbing together, and cupping over nose to deeply breathe, just might do wonderous things for someone.

I have to state, for the record, the FDA has not approved my comments here on the essential oils, nor on Cinnamon Bark. The FDA never will, since they do not work for the public. I would love to have someone prove that last statement wrong. I wish someone could. Some day perhaps. Just not anytime soon.

Yeast Infection Got You Down?

There are many ways to combat yeast in the body. None of which will be all that quick to get the results you need. As long as you persevere, you can do this. Herbs that can help include Pau d'Arco, Cinnamon, Oregano, Clove. Coconut oil is helpful as are several therapeutic quality essential oils, such as Hyssop, Tee Tree(Melaleuca Alternafolia), Cinnamon, Oregano, and Clove. This list is by no means complete.

Kefir is a great addition into the diet particularly when working to get rid of candida issues. Kefir is better than yogurt, although both will help.

Stress is another issue that makes getting rid of yeast that much more difficult. And, if you won't eat properly, getting rid of candida is nearly impossible. It may appear gone, but most likely is not. MacDonalds and Burger King do not classify as eating properly. Fresh organic produce is a great way to help get your digestive system in balance, especially when fermented foods are added.

Bladder Infections

A large portion of American, particularly women, suffer from recurrent bouts of bladder infections. While there are several methods of combating this issue, some are obviously more effective than others. One that is moderately effective; Bearberry, is found here.

Another method of combating bladder infections is from a concentrated form of Cranberries, known as D-Mannose. Read about this one here.

Several therapeutic quality essential oils are effective in treating bladder infections as well also. Care MUST be taken to insure the essential oils are of therapeutic quality, as most sold in stores are not, and much of the ones online are not. This site has certified pure and therapeutic oils. Oils that kill harmful bacteria and viruses include:

* Oregano
* Thyme
* Clove
* Cinnamon Bark

Even applied topically these are very helpful. Helpful, because like most anything of a smaller molecular nature, these will absorb very quickly through the skin and into every cell of the body. If you are not well versed or practiced in taking therapeutic oils internally, please ask for help from a qualified practioner, to avoid some potentially uncomfortable times. I can help you if you'd like.

The oils listed above are not the full representation of aromatherapy which kills and inhibits harmful bacterias. Most of these oils do not harm the helpful bacteria, as the helpful needs oxygen, and the harmful lives on little to no oxygen. Therapeutic oils can provide the oxygen necessary to kill pathogens and enhance life.
