Junk Food, or Real Food? You Decide

“The combination of carbohydrates (from high-fructose corn syrup) and omega-6 oils (as trans fatty acids) found in the typical fast-food meal is also a real one-two punch to your liver. Within just a few weeks, mice fed a fast-food diet underwent an increase in insulin resistance and an increase in markers of liver damage. You don’t want to even imagine how much damage a diet like this could do to a person’s liver over the course of several years.

Now it turns out that, once you get into the habit of a diet like this, it’s hard to get off. A recent report showed that fat in the diet may be just as addictive as hard drugs. Researchers fed groups of rats either a nutritious diet of only rat chow, a tasty but nutrition-poor diet, or a mix of the two types of food. When the ‘junk-food’ rats had their tasty food taken away, they preferred to starve rather than eat healthy food, refusing to eat the nutritious rat chow for almost two weeks.”

Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils

“It is estimated that infections such as MRSA (staph infection) kill 5,000 people each year. This is partly due to the fact that current treatments are only successful in around 50 percent of cases; such treatments can also cause skin irritation. However, researchers may have discovered a much more efficient, not to mention pleasant, way to treat staph infections: Essential oils (compounds found within aromatic plants).

It seems that the use of these oils, typically used in aromatherapy, have been found to kill deadly MRSA bacteria within just two minutes of contact. By simply inhaling these essential oils, patients are able to prevent the risk of infection. And, unlike the current treatments made of single compounds, essential oils are made up of a complex mixture of chemical compounds that MRSA and other bacteria have a hard time resisting.

While testing, researchers used 40 essential oils against 10 of the most dangerous and deadly bacteria and fungi. Three of the oils successfully killed: MRSA, E. coli, and other bacteria and fungi. Researchers proved that any soaps or shampoos made by blending these three oils would be effective over a period of time. Further, hospital staff, doctors and patients can eliminate the spread of MRSA by using products made from these essential oils.”

Like Soft Drinks?

“Drinking too many colas may seriously weaken your bones. Tufts University researchers found that women who drank at least one 12-ounce cola daily over four years had up to 5 percent lower bone-mineral density than women who drank fewer than one a week. Some experts had thought cola guzzlers seemed to have lower bone density because they consumed the fizzy stuff in place of milk. But everyone in this latest study drank the same amount of milk, so the scientists now think the phosphoric acid added to colas (but not other soft drinks) for tartness interferes with your body’s absorption of calcium in food.”

The Drug Celebrex

Celebrex is a widely prescribed pharmaceutical drug, with well publicized criticism. When I was checking on the hazards of this drug, I noticed the MSDS sheet shows many of the items as "Non Known". Believing this was not really an acceptable method of giving the public the information it needs, I checked into the requirements for the MSDS sheets. This is the MSDS on Celebrex.

The following is a paragraph I copied from Interactive Learning Paradigms, Incorporated which specializes in custom e-learning solutions, consulting and more.

Do I have to write an MSDS for new chemicals that I create in the laboratory?

Generally, no. But if you plan on distributing these chemicals to others outside of your laboratory (for example, sending samples to other researchers), then you meet OSHA's definition of a chemical manufacturer and must create an MSDS for the materials. This is assuming the new chemical meets OSHA's definition of hazardous, which is a fairly good assumption for most chemicals. While this sounds daunting - creating an MSDS for a few grams of material nobody has ever made before and has myriad unknown properties, most of the information on your MSDS will simply read "Not known" or something similar. See the question Who can write an MSDS? for authoring tips.
This applies for any amount of material you may be wishing to send elsewhere. The HazCom Standard is based on whether on not a material is hazardous, not the risk associated with a given amount of hazardous material.

What I find interesting is that on this site, section 8, they state that a chemical does not necessarily have to be identified. Which means you could potentially be harmed more than anticipated, even if you knew the effects of the chemicals you thought were in said drug.

This is some information from which shows some of the hazard of Celebrex.

WARNING: CARDIOVASCULAR AND GASTROINTESTINAL RISKS

Cardiovascular Risk

Celebrex may cause an increased risk of serious cardiovascular thrombotic events, myocardial infarction, and stroke, which can be fatal. All nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) may have a similar risk. This risk may increase with duration of use. Patients with cardiovascular disease or risk factors for cardiovascular disease may be at greater risk.
Celebrex is contraindicated for the treatment of perioperative pain in the setting of coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery.
Gastrointestinal Risk

NSAIDs, including Celebrex, cause an increased risk of serious gastrointestinal adverse events including bleeding, ulceration, and perforation of the stomach or intestines, which can be fatal. These events can occur at any time during use and without warning symptoms. Elderly patients are at greater risk for serious gastrointestinal events.

Serious side effects include:
heart attack
stroke
high blood pressure
heart failure from body swelling (fluid retention)
kidney problems including kidney failure
bleeding and ulcers in the stomach and intestine
low red blood cells (anemia)
life-threatening skin reactions
life-threatening allergic reactions
liver problems including liver failure
asthma attacks in people who have asthma
Other side effects include:
stomach pain
constipation
diarrhea
gas
heartburn
nausea
vomiting
dizziness

Still want to take Celebrex? Rapid detox with the Stanley Burroughs Master Cleanse will do everything you want Celebrex to do, without the side effects. If you have never cleansed though, you would want to start off slow, due to the detox cleanses have on the body. Detoxing too fast can create a flu-like condition due to the body having to remove massive amounts of toxins rapidly. The body typically has a hard time keeping up, since most people in the civilized world, eat junk, like doughnuts, sodas, packaged foods with transfats, sugars, exito-toxins, and other chemicals in the Standard American Diet.

The reason the body gets sick is mostly due to the digestive system being overloaded, usually with garbage. Even many who eat healthy foods can get sick, because they don't know HOW to eat those foods, and forget to take into account other things such as toxins given off by the carpeting in their homes; the mold growing in their basement, bedrooms, laundry room and bathroom, cookware, chlorinated/fluoridated water, and more.

Another Reason To Be Happy

Stress Causes Fat to Stick Around

"Researchers at Ohio State University have found the first evidence that short periods of psychological stress can cause the body to take longer to clear heart-damaging fats from the bloodstream, according to a study published in the journal Psychophysiology.

The study of 70 healthy, middle-aged, nonsmoking men and women measured how quickly triglycerides - a type of fat linked to heart disease - cleared out of the bloodstream during a stressful test as compared to a period when the subjects rested. The results showed that, for all 70 participants, stress caused triglycerides to stay in the bloodstream longer.

In other words, 'if a person has a high-fat snack or meal during a time of stress, that fat is going to be circulating in the blood for a longer period of time,' says psychologist Catherine Stoney, Ph.D., lead author of the study."
