“Researchers from London’s Imperial College found that if the innermost layer of cells at branches and bends of arteries lack the active form of a protective protein called Nrf2, the arteries are prone to inflammation and disease. However, exposure to ‘the natural compound sulforaphane reduced inflammation at the high-risk areas by switching on Nrf2,’ explained Paul Evans, thus restoring the cells’ ability to protect themselves. Sulforaphane is found most heavily in broccoli, but also in other cruciferous vegetables such as cauliflower, cabbage, and Brussels sprouts.”

***Flea, Tick, and Insect Repellent***
The recipe “One gallon distilled or pure water, four heaping tablespoons organic dried catnip, 2 ½ tablespoons organic neem oil, 2 teaspoons Young Living Thieves Household Cleaner or Young Living Bath Gel Base, 80 drops Young Living Purification oil, 80 drops Young Living Lemongrass oil, 40 drops Young Living Idaho Tansy oil, 40 drops Young Living Palo Santo oil, 40 drops Young Living Ocotea or Basil oil, 20 drops Young Living Peppermint oil (optional for high temperatures). Steep the catnip in the gallon of water for 20 – 30 minutes. Cool to room temperature. Strain if needed. Add all remaining ingredients into Thieves Household Cleaner or Bath Gel Base. Then mix together, and put into spray bottles. Use as needed.” You can cut in half or quarter if you need less.
