'Tis The Time Of Year For Added Stress

Most people suffer stress, particularly those who Christmas shop. You don't have to feel stress though. If someone irritates you, stop your thoughts for a second and take another look at those thoughts.

Each of us has our own way of doing things. Each of us has our own ideas. Each of us has our likes and dislikes. Perhaps what you dislike about someones actions, that person may have no idea it is a problem. Talk it out instead of angry tones or yelling. Those do no one any good. Talking issues out is a superb way of dealing with stresses of all kinds.

My suggestion is, before you get upset or angry, to re-evaluate the situation. Sometimes that evaluation has to happen mighty quickly. If you are driving, and someone just cut you off, ask yourself if they did it on purpose. Probably not.

Perhaps they were not paying attention, or perhaps they did not see you at all. Sometimes the color of your car, or clothing, can blend with the surroundings. Just because you don't see a blending of colors which may have caused you not to exist to another person, doesn't mean the other person saw you. They may have looked but missed you entirely. Has this happened to you?

If you do what you can to keep a positive attitude as much as you are able, you will be blessed beyond your dreams. Treat others the way you wish to be treated. Go to your local hospital on Christmas day and give a child a gift of love, or a cancer patient hope(it's all about love). What would you be wanting if you were in the other persons shoes?

Find a homeless person on a street corner and give them a cup of coffee, a turkey dinner, a place to stay, or a warm coat or blanket. The possibilities are endless. You are only limited by your own thoughts. If you read the Bible, remember; Jesus told you that. As I've learned through my own acts of helping others in need, the rush I receive from their responses nothing can compare to.

What does all this have to do with a health posting? Hopefully you've already figured that one out. If not, understand that the more you help others, the more you benefit. "As ye give, so shall ye receive". While I'm not a religious person, I do what I feel is right.

The stress you may be feeling as the holiday approaches, can be 100% eliminated simply by helping someone in need. Try it. Give from the heart. You will like it. Trust me on this.

I would like to suggest, due to the commercial attitudes of Christmas, that you stand back and look at what Christmas really means. Does it not mean, giving from your heart? Not giving because someone wants a gift. Giving because YOU WANT TO give. Because you want to help. As with the above posting on the homeless people on the street corners, ASSume they truly are homeless. Then you truly do give from the heart.

I have watched customers in stores physically fighting because one customer got the last of a popular item. Fighting to the point of destroying the product. That has nothing to do with Christmas. That has to do with greed. No matter how one looks at it, this is greed. Greed has no place in our lives, particularly Christmas. We all know this. Let's see if we can do without greed forever.

If you still want help is combatting stress, try simply breathing the essential oil blend of Peace & Calming, found on this site. It works.

Please, have a safe, happy, caring and compassionate holiday. Please! Thank you.
