Everyday colognes and perfumes are nothing but chemicals with sometimes a little water added. Since we know chemicals cause disease, should this really be in your diet? When I say diet, most anything liquid with the possible exception of water on your skin penetrates into every cell of your body.
I checked out some colognes and found some very disturbing, actually, alarming information. The MSDS sheet for the fourth ingredient in the cologne named CHAPS is very harmful. This is the ingredient list for CHAPS: Ingredients
Sd Alcohol 39-C, Water, Fragrance, Benzophenone-2, Fd&c Yellow No. 5, Fd&c Red No. 40, Fd&c Blue No. 1-76.
The Benzophenone-2 is said to harm the thyroid, not just possibly, but does. It is also said to cause confusion, mental disorientation, loss of memory, and much more that you can read here.
I suggest, that if you want or need something to cause you to smell better, get some certified therapeutic aromatherapy. Not only does therapeutic quality smell good, it is also good for you(the fda has not endorsed this statement, and this statement in no way is implying mitigation or cure of disease. They are simply tools). The company that distills these essential oils uses zero chemicals, even to clean the distillers. They use a proprietary method of ultrasound for cleaning, which is very effective.
