Canola Oil. Is it Safe?

According to the research I have done, it seems Canola oil is little more than a hybridized, all too frequently genetically modified version of a very dangerous plant, rapeseed. You might want to check out this link, to get an idea of what it is that is going into your body. Eating in restaurants you are nearly guaranteed of getting this into your body.

I haven't done this yet, but I am going to see if I can make a butter substitute, for baking with, from Chia seeds. I have a potential recipe for this, now to put it to the test. Chia has a superb nutritional profile, and can be added to smoothies, salads, soups, and stews, to name a few.

If you'd like to get some Chia seeds, this site has them in bulk.

I try not to use dairy products, and that is my personal preference. However, I do know that because I so rarely use dairy, that my illness rate has dropped about 90%. So as a replacement I use a rice drink. I could use soy, but don't care for the taste, and there are too many studies which show soy is anything but a health food. And I do health food if at all possible.

Keep a smile in your heart. It will always migrate to your face:).
